How it works

Each test follows the USP general chapter listed with it, as the monograph or specification directs.

Tests offered

Elemental impurities, with validation (USP <233>)

Evaluates elemental impurities by the procedures USP <233> describes, with validation to confirm that the procedure is suitable for the specific material. Limits for drug products are set in USP <232>; tell us the product, its route and the limits that apply.

Iron (USP <241>)

Iron testing to USP <241> Procedure 1 is offered. USP <241> describes three procedures for iron, and the individual monograph indicates which applies. If your monograph or specification calls for Procedure 2 or Procedure 3, tell us at quote so the scope can be confirmed; this listing does not offer all three.

Residue on ignition (USP <281>)

Measures the residue that remains after the sample is ignited under the conditions USP <281> sets, reported as a percentage of the sample. Portions of the chapter are harmonized with the European and Japanese Pharmacopoeias.

Sending samples

Send the material or product sealed and labeled, with its storage conditions.

Tell us the monograph or specification, the tests you need and the number of samples. We work to the current official USP-NF unless you name another applicable edition, and confirm the sample amount at quote.
