How it works

The HPLC content assays separate the named compound and measure it against a reference standard. Betaine hydrochloride is measured by titration.

Diamine oxidase activity is measured differently: the sample is incubated with a substrate under defined conditions and UPLC with photodiode-array detection follows the change over time. The result is a rate under those conditions, not an amount compared with a reference standard.

Several of these ingredients are supplied as salts or hydrates, so tell us the form your specification states.

Tests offered

Melatonin content by HPLC

Measures melatonin by HPLC against a reference standard. USP has a Melatonin Tablets monograph, which states content against the labeled amount and lists melatonin and a melatonin related compound reference standard.

Betaine HCl content by titration

Measures betaine hydrochloride by titration. USP has a Betaine Hydrochloride monograph, which states content on the anhydrous basis.

Creatine content by HPLC

Measures creatine by HPLC against a reference standard. Tell us whether your specification states creatine or creatine monohydrate.

Creatine and related impurities by HPLC

Measures creatine together with its related impurities by HPLC. Tell us which impurities your specification names and their limits.

5-Hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP) content by HPLC

Measures 5-hydroxytryptophan, an amino acid, by HPLC as a single compound.

L-Dopa content by HPLC

Measures L-dopa (levodopa), an amino acid found in the seeds of Mucuna pruriens, by HPLC as a single compound. Tell us the material.

Beta-nicotinamide mononucleotide content by HPLC

Measures beta-nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) by HPLC as a single compound.

Nicotinamide riboside content by HPLC

Measures nicotinamide riboside by HPLC. Nicotinamide riboside is supplied as salts; tell us whether the result is stated as the nicotinamide riboside cation or as a named salt.

Nicotinamide riboside chloride content by HPLC

Measures nicotinamide riboside by HPLC for materials specified as the chloride salt. The assay quantifies nicotinamide riboside; it does not identify the chloride counter ion or confirm the salt stoichiometry, which is a separately scoped test.

Nicotinamide riboside malate content by HPLC

Measures nicotinamide riboside by HPLC for materials specified as the malate salt. The assay quantifies nicotinamide riboside; it does not identify the malate counter ion or confirm the salt stoichiometry, which is a separately scoped test.

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) by HPLC

Measures nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) by HPLC as a single compound. Tell us the form your specification states.

Ergothioneine content by HPLC

Measures ergothioneine, a sulfur-containing amino acid derivative found in mushrooms, by HPLC as a single compound.

DHEA content by HPLC

Measures dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), a steroid, by HPLC as a single compound.

6-Methoxy-2-benzoxazolinone (6-MBOA) in corn leaf extracts by HPLC

Measures 6-methoxy-2-benzoxazolinone (6-MBOA, also known as coixol), a benzoxazinoid-derived compound of maize, in corn leaf extracts by HPLC as a single compound. In corn, 6-MBOA also forms when DIMBOA breaks down in water, so the result reflects the extract as prepared and can include 6-MBOA formed from DIMBOA during extraction; it does not separate the two origins.

Diamine oxidase activity by UPLC-PDA

Determines the activity of diamine oxidase, the enzyme that oxidizes diamines such as histamine, in your material. Activity is the rate at which the enzyme converts a substrate under defined conditions over a set time; it is not the amount of enzyme present. The sample is incubated with a substrate and the change is measured by UPLC with photodiode-array detection. The substrate, conditions, timing and the units the activity is reported in are agreed at quote.

Sending samples

Send the raw material or finished product sealed and labeled.

Tell us the product or formulation, the form of the ingredient it contains (for example the salt) and the label claim or specification. We confirm the sample amount at quote.
