| Tests | L-ascorbic acid, ascorbic acid, ascorbic acid in Morosil, vitamin K2 MK-7 content and MK-7 isomeric purity |
|---|---|
| Method | HPLC, except ascorbic acid by titration |
| Results | Reported against your specification or label claim, with pass/fail where limits apply. |
| Price | Quoted per project |
Four of the tests on this page measure how much of one named compound is present: the three ascorbic acid tests and MK-7 content. The HPLC content assays separate the compound from the rest of the sample and measure it against a reference standard; the titration measures ascorbic acid by the amount of reagent it consumes. The fifth test, MK-7 isomeric purity, assesses the isomeric purity of MK-7 material rather than its amount, as described in its section.
These assays are for raw materials, ingredients and supplements. They are not total vitamin C or total vitamin K tests for foods; those are listed separately in the Food test directory.
Measures L-ascorbic acid, the reduced form of vitamin C, in raw materials, ingredients and supplements by HPLC against a reference standard. The result is L-ascorbic acid only; it is not a total vitamin C result.
Measures ascorbic acid by titration with a reagent that reacts with it, to a defined end point. It suits raw materials and products with a high ascorbic acid content. Other reducing substances in the sample can also react with the reagent, so tell us what the product contains.
Measures ascorbic acid in Morosil, a Moro blood orange extract ingredient, by HPLC against a reference standard.
Measures menaquinone-7 (vitamin K2 as MK-7) in raw materials and supplements by HPLC against a reference standard. This assay is for MK-7 only; it does not measure vitamin K1 or other menaquinones.
MK-7 can be present as the all-trans form and as cis isomers. This HPLC assay addresses the isomeric purity of MK-7 material. Tell us the specification you work to and we confirm at quote how the result will be reported against it.
Send the material sealed and protected from light.
Tell us the label claim or specification. We confirm the sample amount at quote.
